5-2-1-Almost None Backpack Training

The 5-2-1-Almost None backpack training will give you the tools you need to promote the 5-2-1-Almost None healthy lifestyle message in your organization and to train others on the message, if you wish to do so. The training is free of charge, and includes a meal and a backpack of 5-2-1-Almost None materials (one per site). Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL) credits are available.

The 5-2-1-Almost None backpack materials include:

  • Presentation modules for grades K-2, 3-5, Youth and Adults
  • A CD with PowerPoint presentations for each module
  • Speaker notes to accompany the PowerPoint presentations for each module
  • Key messages for each module
  • Supporting activities on “5,” “2,” “1,” and “Almost None” for each module
  • Sugar demonstration kit
  • Tennis ball for serving size demonstration
  • Fruit and Veggie Trivia cards in levels “easy” and “hard”
  • 5-2-1-Almost None fact sheets
  • 5-2-1-Almost None poster
  • Online resources supporting 5-2-1-Almost None
