OVERVIEW: This full day CME event provides an educational opportunity for regional and national health care professionals, health plans, scientists and other consultants, and is designed to improve awareness and clinical care outcomes of diabetes and diabetes related co-morbidities, and to meet identified needs of diabetes clinicians in our area.
The objective of our symposia is to expose attendees to the magnitude of the diabetes problem in America, and to present intervention strategies and treatment options that health care professionals and employers can utilize to improve the health of their patients and employees.
LEARNER OBJECTIVE: At the conclusion of this symposium, the participant should:
- Understand the latest demographic data involving the spread of diabetes in America.
- Be able to describe the current management for lower extremity wounds associated with diabetes, including the management of vascular and infectious problems.
- Implement new and current clinical strategies for improved outcomes in diabetes management.
TARGET AUDIENCE: Physicians, nursing - RNs, NPs, dietitians, physician assistants, ophthalmologists and other health care professionals.
